Mortarion (Hey, look, Another deamon Prince) Konrad Kruz (Dead, but he was worthless anyways)
Lion 'el Johnson (Who is locked in the center of his own planet) However I was likewise against them during Prospero Burns :) That aside the big problem was all the Emperor's secrecy, if he had shared more of his plans with his sons and actually communicated with them then the whole mess could have been avoided.Įdit: I don't mind the Space Wolves, they can be cool, but I think Russ is sort of a prat. Seriously, the Emperor is suppose to be a intelligent, he should have known that asking Magnus to come back to Earth for a talk would likely have worked. Waiting a while for Ol'Guilliman or another calm Primarch to visit Prospero would have been smarter. I wouldn't send my axe wielding berserkers to preform an arrest. I'm fully aware Horus changed the orders but I still think it was utterly stupid to send Russ and his warriors in the first place. They fought because they knew the Space Wolves weren't exactly coming for a friendly visit, or even to arrest them, it was clear death was coming.Įspecially when Magnus got all depressed and was like "Let's let them kill us, K?" and then he tried to cross anathame-wielding daemon-Fulgrim? HERPADERP Even then, I prefer any Legion to Chapters, definitely would've sided with Dorn on that one. xD Perhaps it's because the Loyalist Legions and Chaosy Traitor Legions (ie Post-Heresy) are so common, being in 40k, unlike the 30k Legions. Maybe Iron Hands because my Primarch killed theirs and I feel sorry for them. Love Thousand Sons, Night Lords, Word Bearers, Sons of Horus (SO much better than Black Legion!), Alpha Legion. I find Pre-Heresy Death Guard much more interesting than Plague Marines, and World Eaters much more than Khorne Beserkers (although one of my less favourite Legions anyway).
Once they've turned to Chaos they lose this charm though I can't really stand pink Noise Marine Emperor's Children, but they are my Pre-Heresy/Heresy-Era Legion that I collect (purple and gold). I similarly find most of the Traitor Legions much more characterful than the Loyalists. He chose to hide them from the problem, however, until he could resolve it permanently, so when Chaos moved faster he was caught out. If he explained to the Primarchs that their origins were Chaotic, explained the nature of Chaos, and his plans, they might have been better defended against it. Overall, I agree the Emperor did make a lot of screw-ups. True, if the Emperor had told Magnus about the Webway in the first place none of it might've happened, but then Magnus might not have liked the idea of being sat on the Golden Throne either. As a result, the Emperor sent Russ to take Magnus into custody, but Horus intercepted the order and changed it to kill Magnus and his legion.
This was the Emperor's grand design, which is why he didn't want Magnus being cheeky with psychic powers Magnus destroyed it when he messaged the Emperor, and really screwed the Imperium over. I admit what he did to punish them was pretty dickish though.Īs for Magnus, Magnus told the Emperor about Horus but at the same time obliterated the Imperial Webway. The Emperor clearly set out the Imperial Truth, which is why he got annoyed with Lorgar. Lorgar was conquering at a much slower pace because he was making worlds super-compliant, but to the Emperor's divinity. Hell I don't even think Sanguinus and Dorn being seperated from the Emperor during transport was an accident either but was done by design. Perhaps then it was the Emperor who killed the Angel (For now as his psychic essancxe is still floating about) rather than risk fighting them both, if the Loyalist's had to fight the Blood Angels as well the results of that final battle would of been very different. Perosnally I am looking forwards to the end to see if Horus Kileld Sanguinus or if the Emperor did.Īfterall he did have a sword wound through his back, none of Horus's weapons was cap[able of doing that, makes me wonder if Horus explained his actions to his most loved brother, the only strong enough to of been able to beat him, the most pure of them all and proved to him what the Emperor was doing. The Emperor wanted to atain godhood, I'm unsure if he has fully done so yet either but you have to ask, was he becoming a god or a chaos god? (The Eldar did create Slannesh after all) This is not a mistake but part of his design. Allot of it he could of prevented, he Knew about Horus ahead of time along with many other things and he chose not to act.
